Lois S. Macarages

Lois S. Macarages, 88, of McRae died Friday, June 1, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 4 in the chapel of Lowe's Funeral Home with burial in Zion Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, June 3 at the funeral home.

The Rev. Bill Jones will officiate.

Mrs. Macarages was the daughter of the late Clifford L. and Pear Johnson Sheppard of Telfair County.

She was a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church in McRae.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, B.D. Smith and children, Marsha, Larry and Jerry Smith.

Survivors include her children, Lawrence Smith of Alamo, Debra L. Smith of Eastman, Jean Clark of Milan and James Smith of Milan; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren;

9 great-great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Christine Davis of McRae, Drewell St. John of California, Aline Smith of Macon, Robbie Miller of Macon and Shirley Wacter of Macon; nieces, nephews and many friends.
